Darryl Rosen is a financial advisor, educator, author and former marathon runner. Much like training for a marathon, Darryl feels that preparing for a secure and comfortable retirement requires discipline and training. Doing nothing will not prepare you for the race of your life – which is how Darryl views the importance of retirement planning.
As the founder of Rose Advisory Group, Darryl spends his time helping future retirees minimize taxes, reduce risk and, most importantly, protect their principal. He focuses not only on asset accumulation or the building of assets, but also on the de-accumulation of assets. Simply, one concept Darryl shares with anybody who will listen is how you spend down assets (or de-accumulate) is just as important as what rate of return you achieve in your accumulation years. This approach works to establish a sustainable livelihood for his clients in retirement.
Darryl earned an MBA in Marketing and Organizational Behavior from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Indiana University and is a C.P.A. Darryl is licensed to provide guidance on securities (series 65) and has achieved the highly desired Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP) designation. He is an instructor with the National Society of Financial Educators and is licensed to help his clients with life and health insurance solutions.
Previously, Darryl spoke, trained, coached, consulted, and wrote on the subjects of leadership and culture, sales, management, and customer service. He is an experienced business professional and formerly served as President and Owner of Sam’s Wines & Spirits, a $50 million multi-store retailer in the Chicago area.
He is the author of eight books on the topics of financial planning, sales, leadership, success, and effective management. When not working, Darryl enjoys running (aches and pains aside) and spending time with his wife Jill and three sons, Josh, Danny and Ben. He is a passionate and active supporter of philanthropic efforts dedicated to improving the lives of children and a diehard Cubs fan - always hoping that this will be the year – again!
